A Place For The Lipa Stool

26.08.26 11:18 AM By FOLM Manufacturing

There are some pieces of furniture you know exactly where to put. A dining table belongs in the dining room, a bed belongs in the bedroom, and a sofa usually finds its way to the center of the living room.

Then there are pieces like the Lipa Stool. Small enough to move around when you feel like changing things. Quiet enough to sit comfortably in different corners of a home. And somehow, wherever you put it, it seems to find a reason to be there.

We started thinking about all the ways the Lipa Stool could live beyond being simply a place to sit. Sometimes, it is useful in holding something beautiful. Sometimes, it is simply the little piece that makes an empty corner feel considered.

Here are a few ways we imagine styling it.

Styled with a Vase

A vase does not need much help to become part of a room, but placing it on the Lipa Stool gives it a little more presence. Instead of leaving the vase on the floor or placing it among everything else on a console, the stool gives it its own space. A few branches, fresh flowers or even a single sculptural stem can turn the combination into a small focal point without making the room feel busy.

It works especially well in a quiet corner, beside a window or anywhere that could use a little softness.

Styled with a Plant

There is something about putting a plant on a stool that makes it feel like the plant was always meant to be there.

The Lipa Stool gives smaller plants a little height, bringing their leaves closer to eye level and allowing them to become part of the room rather than something you simply notice on the floor. A trailing plant could soften the edges of the stool, while a taller, fuller plant can create a stronger silhouette.

And because the stool can move, so can the plant. Near the window in the morning. Beside a chair in the afternoon, somewhere else entirely when you decide the room needs a change.

A Seat When You Need One

Of course, the Lipa Stool does not have to be styled at all. Sometimes it is simply a stool.

Pull it closer when someone needs an extra seat. Keep it beside a lounge chair, bring it out when guests arrive, move it around the house as the day requires. There is something useful about having a piece that does not insist on one particular purpose.

It can hold a plant today and hold a person tomorrow.

Beside the Bed

A bedroom does not always need another large bedside table. The Lipa Stool can sit beside the bed with just enough room for the things you reach for at night: a book, a glass of water, a small lamp or perhaps a vase of flowers.

Its smaller scale keeps the space feeling open, while its presence adds another layer to the room. It is especially suited to bedrooms where the rest of the furniture has been kept simple.

In the Quiet Corner

Every home has that one corner, The one that is not quite empty, but has never really been given a purpose. A Lipa Stool can change that. Place it beside a reading chair, add a book, a small object or a vase and suddenly the corner feels like somewhere you meant to create.

It does not need much. In fact, that is part of its charm.

Styled as a Display Piece

The Lipa Stool can also become a small stage for the things you love. A favorite sculpture, a ceramic piece, a collection of objects or something you picked up while travelling. Instead of placing everything at the same height, using the stool introduces another level into the room and gives a single object the attention it deserves. This is where styling becomes less about filling a room and more about deciding what you want people to notice.

At Home with Art

We have also seen the Lipa Stool step outside the home, including its appearance at the Quintessence auction, and that is part of what makes a piece like this interesting. It can sit comfortably among art, objects and conversation without needing to compete with them. Its simplicity allows whatever surrounds it to remain important, while still giving the space another shape to work with.

One Stool, Many Lives

Perhaps the easiest way to style the stool is not to decide that it has one particular role.

Let it change. Let it hold a vase in the morning, become a seat when friends come over, carry a plant when the room needs some green, or sit quietly beside your favorite chair with a book on top. The best pieces often become useful in ways you did not plan for, because sometimes, styling a home is not about finding the perfect place for everything. It is about allowing the things you love to find their place.
